Tour de communication

Après deux mois passés au sein de ce joli projet, nous entamons la deuxième partie de notre mission. En effet, comme certains le savent déjà, nous commencons un tour de communication au sein des universités des principales villes d’Afrique du Sud, dans le but de construire des partenariats avec elles sur le long terme. Ces partenariats seront l’occasion d’échanger avec les étudiants sur le projet Mawotsheni, et de trouver de nouveaux volontaires qui continueront à faire vivre ce projet.

Cela fait bientôt 6 mois que nous essayons de rentrer en contact avec ces universités, mais de nombreux mails, messages sur les réseaux sociaux et appels sont malheureusement restés sans réponse. Grâce à notre séjour à Coffee Bay, nous avons pu parler avec de nombreux sud-africains qui nous ont donnés de précieux conseils.

Durant deux semaines, du 15 au 30 mai, nous allons donc nous rendre dans 6 différentes villes et leurs universités, et discuter de ces partenariats. Voici notre programme :

• East London du 15 au 17 mai

• Grahamstown (Rhodes University) du 17 au 20 mai

• Port Elizabeth du 22 au 24 mai

• Johannesburgh et Pretoria du 25 au 30 mai

• Durban du 1er au 3 Juin

After two month spent in the project, it’s time to start the second part of our mission. As you may already know, we’re startng a communication tour around the universities in the main South Africa cities, in order to build with them long term partnerships. Thanks to that, we’ll be able to discuss about Mawotsheni project with the students, and find new volunteers to maintain this project.

We have been trying to reach those universities for the last six months by mail, social media and phones, but we only received few answers. Thanks to our stay in Coffee Bay, we discussed about it with lot of South Africans, who gave us some advice.

During two weeks, from May 15th to May 30th, we’re going to 6 differents towns and their universities, and talk about thoses partnerships. Here is our schedule:

• East London from the 15th to the 17th of May

• Grahamstown (Rhodes University) from the 17th to the 20th of May

• Port Elizabeth from the 22nd to the 24rd of May

• Johannesburgh and Pretoria from the 25rd to the 30th of May

• Durban from the 1rst to the 3rd of June
